Whenever any other writer wanted to use the Six in anything, I always told them the same thing.

They will never win. They will never triumph.

But they will never be PUSHED, either.

I don’t know you personally, Gail, but I feel like what you just wrote describes who YOU are so well. I just hope you don’t take my comment in a negative fashion, because I love what you do.

No, I take that as a compliment. That is kind of my life’s philosophy, which is, we may not triumph over bad things today. We may not triumph over bad things tomorrow. But you still have to fight against bad things.

I met an activist, a really brave guy, named Darryl Purpose years ago, he’s a phenomenal guitar player, and he wrote a song that said the Victory’s In The Struggle.  I firmly believe that. We’re not going to conquer ignorance today, we’re not going to destroy corruption and injustice today. But today is still a time to fight.

Because we can chip away at those things. And eventually, minds are changed, hearts are changed.

The victory is in the struggle, sometimes.

I think it’s just so great that we have someone like Gail working in the comic industry.
